US Immigration Update

The Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with its overseas passport and visa systems. The issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category.

The Bureau of Consular Affairs is in the process of resolving technical problems with their visa systems. Though some progress has been made, biometric data processing has not been fully restored. As of noon today, 22 posts have been reconnected, representing about half of the global nonimmigrant visa volume.  Additional posts will continue to be brought online until connectivity with all posts is restored.

Last week, nearly 1,250 temporary or seasonal workers who had been issued visas in the past were issued new visas in Mexico, and more than 3,000 visas globally for urgent and humanitarian travel have been issued as well as a priority.

Santa Fe Recommendation to Customers

Santa Fe advises customers that this is likely to affect current visa applications to the US.  If you have a priority visa for the US please contact our US immigration service for an update on your case.  At present we are monitoring visa statuses and will provide you with an update when it comes available.
